The cable car is only in operation in fair weather!

WANDERS ON THE THURNTALER, SILLIAN
(4 km from Strasserwirt):

  • Walk from the mountain station cable car or restaurant Gadein (2,090 m) to Thurntaler Rast (2,004 m) and back again (path 10b).
    Walking time: about 45 minutes.
  • Walk from the mountain station over the path 10b left to the shepherd’s hut (very wide path – also possible with stroller).
  • Summit hike from the mountain station via Alpeggele (path 7) to the Thurntal summit (2,407 m) – descent over the Three Lakes (path 10)
    to thurntaler Rast or restaurant Gadein. Walking time: 2.5 hours.
  • Circular hiking trail around the Thurntaler (Tyrolean Jubilee Trail) from the mountain station via Alpeggele to the Astatt Sattel (path 7) – detour
    left to The Thurntaler See (2,324 m) and Thurntaler Jugendkreuz (path 4) and back – trail 4 following to the junction with path 10b –
    following this via Thurntaler Rast back to the mountain station (path 10b). Walking time: about 5 hours.
    Valley hike to Sillian from the mountain station to Alpeggele downhill via Stalpen to the valley station cable car (path 7).
    Walking time: about 2.5 hours.
  • Valley hike to Arnbach from the mountain station to the Thurntaler Jugendkreuz (path 7, 4). Descent via Kolbental to Arnbach (path 2).
    Walking time: about 4 hours.
  • Valley hike to Innervillgraten from the mountain station to the Astatt Sattel and over the Tafin valley to Innervillgraten (path 4).
    Walking time: about 3.5 hours.
  • Valley hike to Außervillgraten from the mountain station via Thurntaler Rast (path 10b) downhill over the “Sennersteig” to Außervillgraten (path 10). Walking time: about 2.5 hours.
  • Long hike Bonner Höhenweg from the mountain station to the Astatt Sattel, trail 10 following to the Marchkinkele (descent to limestone possible/path 5, 5a) – continue to the Toblacher Pfannhorn (descent to Limestone possible/Way 8) – Trail 12 following via Schwarzsee to Unterstaller Alm. Walking time: about 10 hours.
  • NORDIC WALKING PARCOUR: From the mountain station of the cable car, the Nordic Walking route leads to the Thurntal summit and over
    the Three Lakes to the mountain station.
