At Obertilliach biathlon centre one thing soon becomes clear – this is a place for professionals and for those who know what they’re doing. It is also heartily recommended by Olympic and World champions, Ole Einar Bjoerndalen from Norway for instance. And he should know. He liked this course and presumably Obertilliach itself too so much that he stayed, settled here to become a real “Tilliacher”. Yet don’t let that “just” persuade you. Wholly objectively and without the rapturous enthusiasm of an Olympic champion, Obertilliach biathlon centre is a class apart. There

are 4 to 5 kilometres of snow-covered slopes and you can even test and hone your cross-country skills throughout the year on the newly construc-ted 4.2 kilometre ski roller run. You can be almost certain that you’ll bump into a few stars from the “Nordic camp”. There is even the chance of setting out in the tracks of biathletes, who you know from film, radio and television during a “taster biathlon” – an experience that you’ll remember for a long time to come. Being a biathlete for a day – not a bad thing.
