IN OUR VEGETABLE & HERB GARDEN
Our garden has been lovingly cared for by garden fairy Margit for decades.
Brand new are our many large raised beds: Here grow many
of our ingredients used such as blue truffle potatoes, East Tyrolean potato Oskar, rhubarb, celery, raw beans,
Asian salads, edible flowers (a whole giant raised bed full), various herbs, squash, zucchini, etc.
FRUIT MEADOWS ROUND THE STRASSERWIRT
From the many pear, plum and apple trees, currant and jostaberry doves.
and elderberry bushes around the house we obtain delicious jams, saps and syrups.
TEA
Two types of tea from the breakfast buffet are produced directly in the Strasserwirt:
Strasserwirt’s Garden Herbs and Strasserwirt Forest & Meadow.
Meat
We buy meat and sausages exclusively from
local farmers through the butchers Ortner, Sillian and Karnerta, Lienz.
EAST TYROLEAN COFFEE ROASTING
We serve coffee specialities from East Tyrol’s only coffee roaster Mocafe from Lienz.
