A visit to the Strasserwirt, the oldest inn on the Poststrasse, not only delights the historically interested guest, but the culinary offerings of chef Werner Gander, with his quite individual vision of an authentic dining culture, are also convincing. The creamed veal scallop with fresh herbs and bread dumplings was classically balanced in flavor; a bit more acidity would have perfected the dish. The service is youthfully relaxed, very attentive and acts harmoniously.
